New Moon in Cancer

A Time to Attune to the Moon

The moon is always right at home in the sign of Cancer.

Cancer is all about flowing, empathy, and sensitivity, and the moon represents our emotions and our feelings of comfort. The Moon is an representation of feminine energy (intuition, accepting, wise, compassionate, and heart-centered), and Cancer represents "mother" energy (nurturing, compassionate, intuitive, loving, with home and family being the main priorities of mother energy.) They just play off each other so well.

The best ways to attune to this moon energy is by embodying divine feminine qualities and using your intuition.

Divine feminine energy exists within all of us regardless of gender, just as divine masculine energy does. To tap in to divine feminine and divine mother energy:

Observing the beauty in all places and spaces.

Surrender and just trust the process.

Be soft with yourself and others - practice right speech, non judgement, and forgiveness.

Be creative - when we create we give birth to something new. Creativity is our innate power - use it.

Be emotionally aware and feel your feelings.

Nurture all that you love (including yourself.) We nurture when we practice unconditional love, provide stability, offer protection.

A New Moon in Cancer is the time to create new intentions, feel your feelings, and find comfort in stillness. Under this new moon we are asked to be gentle with ourselves, nourish ourselves, and invite our intuition in for a moment of stillness and contemplation.

Use the energy of this new moon for creating a vision and setting new intentions.

You will need:

A piece of paper + pen

Optional - A piece of moonstone to hold

Take a few moments of stillness or meditation.

To tap in to your intuition ask yourself a few easy questions - Am I hungry? Am I thirsty? Do I like the color blue? Do I like to swim? Etc...

Notice exactly in your body you feel the answers - is it your stomach, heart, head? Does it feel like a buzzing, tingle, or throb?

This feeling is your intuitive murmur - the low soft voice of your inner knowing.

Contemplate what you want to embody, experience, and feel in the coming weeks...

Set a timer for 12 minutes and write out everything that comes to your mind.

Ask yourself what you need most right now and look for that feeling in your answers.

Write down all your intentions.

Take a few more moments of stillness or meditation.

Bring your awareness to your heart space.

Place your hand over your heart and repeat:

I am of the stars and the Earth and I am loved.

I am open to giving and receiving love.

I move through.

I let go.

I am at home with and within myself.

I allow myself to just be.

I am safe

I am loved.

I have everything I need

I surrender what I no longer need

I find comfort when I am still

I call in a deeper level of compassion for myself, others, and the world

Have a beautiful weekend <3
